Job Opportunity: Teacher's Aide II

Position: Preschool Teacher’s Aide II
Location: Little Peoples Daycare & Preschool
Hours: Part-time, Monday-Friday 2:00-4:30 (10 kids)

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring teacher’s aide to join our team! As a teacher’s aide you will play a vital role in shaping the early learning experiences of our youngest learners. Your creativity, patience, and dedication will help foster a love for learning in each child. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment.

• Assist with planning and implementing educational activities and lessons.

• Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive atmosphere.

• Foster individual growth and development through one-on-one interaction with students.

• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

• Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and safe for all students.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Have a minimum of 160 hours experience working with preschool-aged children.

• A genuine love for children and a patient, caring attitude.

• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must pass background check and fingerprinting.

• Pediatric CPR and First Aide (within 90 days).

• Food Handlers Card (within 30 days).

• Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect training (within 30 days)

• Foundations of Learning (within 30 days)

• Introduction to Health and Safety (within 30 days)

• Complete 15 hours of training every year.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate starting at $16.00 per hour, based on experience.
