Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children
At least 750 hours of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center, or comparable group care program, in the appropriate age level (preschool)., OR
One year or 1500 hours of qualifying teaching experience in Registered Family or Certified Family childcare, OR
Documentation of attaining at least step 6 in the Oregon Registry (myORO), OR
9 Quarter credits in two CKC’s (3 must be in HGD or UGB), OR
A minimum of an associate’s degree from a college or university with a major in (Early childhood education or child development), OR
A state or nationally recognized credential, e.g
CDA related to preschool-age care
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
Passion for working with children and fostering their love of learning
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with staff, children, and families

Benefits
Competitive hourly rate starting at $17.00 per hour, based on experience
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 22 per week
4 hour shift
Monday to Friday
No weekends
Responsibilities
Hours: Part-time, Monday - Friday 1:30pm to 6:00pm
As a Preschool Teacher, you will guide children through developmentally appropriate activities, promote social-emotional learning, and build strong relationships with families
Your creativity, patience, and dedication will help foster a love for learning in each child
Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that foster creativity, exploration, and social skills
Create a warm and inviting classroom environment that encourages learning and development
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages social and emotional growth
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child’s development and activities
Maintain good parent/provider relationships
Collaborate with fellow teachers to promote a cohesive and supportive learning atmosphere
Setting relationships between children
Maintain First Aide and CPR and Central Background Registry and fingerprinting
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices
